We are SO EXCITED for our annual spring recital… “GDU On Broadway” Please read through the following information about the show.
*** The end of the year dance recital is a great chance for your dancer to share what they have been learning in class all year!
Dress Rehearsal and Pictures: Wednesday, May 28th and Thursday May 29th
Recitals: Friday May 30th, Saturday May 31st and Sunday June 1st
Location: Dacula High School Theater
Dancers performing in the recital will need to be enrolled in the same class from Feb through May in order to learn their recital dance. You will also need to pay a costume fee (one per class) and a recital fee (one per dancer). Each class will have a dress rehearsal time assigned to them. A class will not rehearse both days. For example: Hip Hop class on Tuesday’s at the studio has a dress rehearsal on Wednesday, May 28th at 4:30-4:45, but would not come on Thursday also. If your dancer comes to multiple classes, you will have multiple dress rehearsals. Dress rehearsal is very important to prepare the dancers for the recital. Dress rehearsal and recital times will be announced in mid April. Each class performs in just one show. However, if your dancer is in multiple classes, it is possible you will be assigned multiple shows.
Costume Info: Students in Ballet/Tap/Jazz, Kinderdancetastic, and Jazz/Lyrical combo classes will perform two dances in the recital and will be required to purchase a 2 n 1 costume that will be used for both dances. The price for that costume will be $100. All costumes include tights and any additional accessories.
All other classes will perform one dance in the recital and participating students will be required to purchase a $75 costume. All costumes include tights and any additional accessories.
All costume fees are due by February 15th and are non-refundable.
Recital Fee: Due on April 5th and is $75 per dancer. The recital fee helps cover the cost of the show, each dancer will also receive a medal, recital t-shirt, digital video of the recital and group photo. The recital fee is non-refundable.
Tickets for the show will be available for purchase May 1st, 2025. Everyone including parents will need to purchase tickets to the show. Tickets are $12.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door.
